Bobby Shmurda Opens Up To His Fans
On Sunday (June 1), Bobby updated his fans on Instagram regarding new music. Fans have been repeatedly begging the rapper to drop some new tracks since he was released from prison in February 2021.
However, in an Instagram caption, Bobby expressed his belief that streaming services will not promote his music because he refuses to alter his appearance and paint his nails.
“Stop asking me to drop music American DSP and music blogs which they owned as well don’t allow real Bodman on playlists because I don’t paint my fingers so it’s pointless so until something is done with the people who own, runs and manages these platforms,” Bobby wrote.ย

More On Shmurda’s Music
This isn’t the first time Bobby Shmurda has shared his thoughts on music. In 2022, the ‘Hot Boy’ musician claimed he no longer wanted to be associated with the “rapper” label.
He made his comment during an Instagram Live in December 2022. He outright stated, “I don’t want to be named as a rapper anymore.”ย
Shmurda further elaborated by saying that rapping gets people in unfortunate predicaments too often. He used Tory Lanez as an example, who is currently serving time in prison for shooting and injuring Megan Thee Stallion.
โItโs like when you do that rapper s**t, n***as try to come for that light. Itโs just nasty, like these labels is nasty. Look at what they just did to Tory. That s**t is nasty, my n***a. That s**t is nasty.โ
