Bobby Shmurda has only been home for a few days, but he’s definitely been feeling the love since his release. Quavo made sure Bobby was home on that private jet, and he was welcomed home with open arms by his loved ones including Rowdy Rebel, and he says he has no plans of ever being behind bars again.
Bobby spent some time with GQ on his first day out, and detailed his journey through prison and now returning home. Bobby dedicated his night to a gathering with his family and friends, but not before he spoke with Meek Mill on FaceTime, and let him know he will not be going back to prison.
“I’m done with that [jail] sh*t,” Bobby said. “I’ll be light-skinned in Jamaica before I ever go back.”
He goes on to reflect on missing out on watching his god children grow up due to being in prison for so long.
“I left my god kids. They were four or five when I used to take them all to the store,” Bobby said. “Now it’s been seven years. I used lie to them, say I was on tour, but kids are smart. I missed out. Even that little half decade of their lives is important to me.”
Nevertheless, Bobby said he is more than happy to be back home and is ready to get back into the studio. Quavo told GQ that we should expect a Bobby feature on the Migos’ upcoming “Culture III” album, and even revealed he spent an entire night in the studio with Rowdy before Shmurda’s release. Bobby also hinted at a Pop Smoke collaboration, which fans have certainly been waiting for.
