Blueface’s mom, Karlissa Saffold Harvey, is sharing how she plans to “surprise” Blueface when he returns home from jail.
TMZ spoke exclusively with Harvey on Thursday, July 18. The incarcerated rapper’s mother explained that she’s hoping his court date on July 29 will be his last.
“… I think a lot of people are anticipating that that will be the day [he’s released],” Harvey told the outlet. “I am.”
Additionally, Harvey explained that she’s “planning a surprise return-home party” for her son.
“I’m going to do it that next day — in faith,” she added.
As the conversation continued, the reporter asked if Blueface – who’s currently in custody under Los Angeles officials — may face additional legal jurisdiction in Las Vegas. Harvey explained that it was thought that the rapper violated his probation in Las Vegas with his Los Angeles arrest. However, that is incorrect.
“So he should be free to go… on the 29th,” Harvey added.
Ultimately, the mother explained that she hopes Blueface has taken his time in jail as a “learning step.” Additionally, she explained that she hopes her son will make wiser decisions.
As The Shade Room previously reported, Blueface turned himself into Los Angeles authorities on January 12. At the time, TMZ reported he violated the terms of his probation in a September 2021 assault case in the state.
In February, the Daily Mail reported that Blueface’s arrest in Los Angeles violated the terms of his probation in a 2022 shooting case in Las Vegas. At the time, Blueface was reportedly ordered to turn himself into Las Vegas authorities after his time served in Los Angeles.
However, it has recently been reported that a Las Vegas judge resentenced Blueface to three years of probation, per The Shade Room. The judge also reportedly ordered the rapper to serve 30 days in jail; however, they have reportedly considered his time served in Los Angeles.
Despite the leniency, the Las Vegas judge reportedly made a strong statement to Blue.
“If you get… brought back here on any kind of probation violation especially anything involving weapon, I will not hesitate to put you in prison for significant period of time. You are playing with your liberty, your life obviously,” the judge reportedly stated.
The rapper appears to be having a string of good luck. However, his court date in Los Angeles on July 29 still remains in the balance. Earlier this week, Los Angeles Deputy District Attorney Tatiana Chahoian shared a statement on the uncertainty that still lies before the rapper.
Ultimately, time will only tell if Harvey’s surprise party for Blue will pan out.
