Blueface Cautions Fellow Rappers On Coming To California In Wake Of Pop Smoke’s Murder

In the wake of rapper Pop Smoke’s tragic death at the young age of 20, fellow rapper Blueface offered his condolences while cautioning other rappers about the dangers of coming to California.

Blueface, who is a native of Los Angeles, spoke out about others coming to Cali after Pop Smoke was fatally shot in a home invasion in the Hollywood Hills early Wednesday morning.

Blueface took to his Instagram story to post the following message: “People think Cali/LA is beautiful sunny palm trees. N****s die here every single day. I recommend any artist coming this way to get in touch (with) the right natives just to keep you up to speed…soon as you relax (and) think it’s cool this way that’s when they strike…Rip Pop Smoke.”

Blueface figured that some might take his message out of context so he had this to say in addition: “A young immature dumb n***a might take what I said as “checking in” an if you do tappin with a n***a who shows any signs of power or misconception cuz you hit him when you land then that is the WRONG native.”

Blueface further explained, “My real point is LA is fake (and) if you not from here you open to more risk every place has its own way that the jungle operates (and) if you a lion you will never survive in the ocean without knowing any fish. Just giving the next artist some game tired of watching kings get killed by pawns.”

Authorities are still investigating Pop Smoke’s murder. Police say they are looking for at least two masked gunmen wearing hoodies who broke into the Hollywood Hills home that Pop was renting around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The men reportedly fired multiple shots that struck Pop Smoke and left him critically wounded. Pop Smoke was pronounced dead after he was rushed to Cedars- Sinai Medical Center in West Hollywood.

We’ll keep you posted on any developments in this story.
