Major retailer, Bloomingdale’s, made Christmas come early for a few loyal customers but like the saying goes the Lord giveth and taketh away!
According to Buzzfeed, Bloomingdale’s suffered a major glitch in their system when they accidentally posted $25,000 gift cards for their customers who are apart of their loyalty program! Say whet!?
Well when they realized the mistake and tried to get their money back one customer said not so fast!
The man said he had randomly inquired about his store credit he was expecting after purchasing a pair of Ferragamos but what he got was a lot more than what he bargained for, over $17,000 in store credit!!!
The man, who wishes to stay anonymous, said he made a few purchases online before realizing that the store would possible cancel his orders. He took his Bloomie Bucks into the Manhattan location and decided to take his chances. Well his luck paid off because he was able to walk out the store with a pair of $10,000 earrings, a $5,000 watch, and a Louis Vuitton bag estimated around $2000!!!
Of course Bloomies tried to get their merchandise back but their offer was less than desirable. Can you believe they offered this man a $100 gift card in exchange for his $17,000 in merchandise!!!
Welp he chucked it to that being Bloomingdale’s personal problem and opted not to return the merchandise. The store then tried to up the pressure by telling him he would be barred from the loyalty program if he didn’t give back the merchandise, HA!!
The man told Buzzfeed, “I wish they’d offer me a real reward.” Yeah that was definitely a slap in the face ! Looks like Bloomingdale’s won’t be making that mistake again, let’s chat below!
