It looks like BlocBoy JB is the latest person to file a lawsuit against the creators of the popular video game “Fornite.”
According to TMZ, BlocBoy JB filed a lawsuit against Epic Games, which is the company behind Fornite. He is suing them for allegedly stealing his “Shoot” dance move, and using it in their game and calling it the “Hype” dance.
In the documents obtained by the site, BlocBoy JB claims that he is the creator of the dance and Epic Games did not get the proper permission to use it in their game. He reportedly claims that although he hadn’t registered a copyright on the dance when it was used in the game, he is in the process of doing so right now.
BlocBoy JB is not the first person to sue the game for using a dance move. Alfonso Ribeiro, who is best known as Carlton Banks on the hit show “Fresh Princes of Bel-Air,” has come after the game for his “Carlton” dance. As well as, Backpack Kid, who claims the game creators, used his move “The Floss.”
As we previously reported, rapper 2 Milly also sued the creators of the game for using his “Milly Rock” dance in the game and calling it “Swipe It.”
Roommates, what are your thoughts?
