The news of Rob’s passing was also confirmed by Revolt TV, which is owned by Diddy, as well as Rob’s former Bad Boy label mate Mario Winans. He said, “This hit my heart……. we will NEVER forget you, brother! RIP BLACK ROB!”
Many fans became aware of Black Rob’s condition last week when DJ Self shared a video of Black Rob in a hospital bed as he spoke about pain. He also showed love to DMX, who unfortunately passed away last week at the age of 50. In the video, Rob said, “I don’t know what the pain is, but the pain is crazy. It’s helping me out and making me realize that I have a lot more to go.”
Two days later, another video was posted as an update, to show that Black Rob had been released from the hospital and he explained his health condition and also his living situation. At the time, he said in the video that he had ongoing health issues for the past five years, including four strokes.
DJ Self then posted a separate message to share that Rob’s kidneys were failing as well and that he was using his platform to help share Rob’s condition to get him the help that was needed.
Many of Rob’s former label mates such as Carl Thomas, Kima from Total, Case, and many others have sent their condolences following the news of Rob’s passing.
We are sending our deepest condolences to Black Rob’s loved ones.
