Chile there might have been a major plot twist in the Cosby rape accusation case and it isn’t in the favor of Mr. Cosby!
For the past few months, things have been radio silent on the case of Cosby allegedly drugging and raping more than two dozen women back in the day but according to the Associated Press, Cosby may have said a lot of incriminating things few years ago that he maybe regretting now.
In 2005, the 77-year-old legendary actor and philanthropist admitted in court to giving young women quaaludes (sedatives) in hopes of scoring sex afterwards.
Former Temple University employee Andrea Constand was one of the women allegedly drugged by Cosby and was the first to file a lawsuit against him.
In the court documents compelled by AP, Cosby was asked and testified:
“When you got the quaaludes, was it in your mind that you were going to use these quaaludes for young women that you wanted to have sex with?” lawyer Dolores M. Troiani asked.
“Yes,” Cosby answered on Sept. 29, 2005.
“Did you ever give any of these young women the quaaludes without their knowledge?”
Constand and another woman did testify that they knew Cosby had drugged them during the incident.
When asked if the ludes were given after they were banned in the 1990s, at first he tried to plead the fifth but then came clean and said he gave Constrand three half-pills of Benadryl.
He was able to settle the lawsuit confidentially in 2006 but now he fears that unsealing these documents will embarass him because Cosby was forced to say those things since he was under oath. He also fears that the public will now know about the secrets of his marriage, sex life and prescription drug use.
“It would be terribly embarrassing for this material to come out,” lawyer George M. Gowen III argued in June. “Frankly … it would embarrass him, (and) it would also prejudice him in eyes of the jury pool in Massachusetts.”
To add on to Cosby’s tainted image, three women are currently suing him for defamation after he denied that their accusations were true. He is also trying to get those cases thrown out as well.
