If there is anyone that has been very vocal in his support for Bill Cosby, it definitely would have to be Boosie. He has taken to social media on different occasions and has called for Cosby to be released from prison, and he has even spoken about his support for Cosby in his interviews as well.
So on Thursday, Cosby took the time out to publicly thank Boosie for showing him some support.
A tweet from Cosby’s Twitter account read, “On this 10th day of December 2020…I will pay homage to those who have supported me and my family, simply by saying, thank you. The first person to be recognized on Thank You Thursday is Rapper Boosie. Thank you for your support & I’m praying for you to have a speedy recovery and for your mobility to be restored. Again, thank you very much.”
As we previously reported, back in September, Boosie took to social media and suggested that a petition needs to be started in support of getting Cosby out of jail.
He simply said in a tweet, “Free Bill Cosby Let’s Start A Petition.”
As many of you know, Bill Cosby is currently serving time after being convicted of past sexual assault allegations.
Boosie also showed support for Cosby last year and compared his case to Harvey Weinstein, and said, “Ay check this out, y’all better wake up this racist a** motherf**kin’ world. This armadillo lookin’ b*tch Harvey Weinstein been f*ckin’ people 100 days ago, and he can pay for all the sh*t he did, all the f*ckin’ rapes he done did, but Bill Cosby couldn’t pay for his sh*t. The Jell-O man had the money. That show you it’s a racist motherf**kin’ world.”
Cosby’s shoutout to Boosie was met with some mixed reviews as well.

What’s so funny about this is that Bill Cosby said rappers didn’t represent black culture because they’re too vulgar. He resented them. Boosie is problematic for a lot of reasons but it’s amazing how so many rappers have forgotten how Bill Cosby happily demonized them https://t.co/AgV3H4Fhr5

Boosie is exactly the kind of person Bill Cosby would’ve looked down at when he was free. My how the tables have turned
