Beyoncé’s BeyGOOD Foundation Has Partnered With Jack Dorsey To Provide $6 Million In Funding To Organizations Providing Mental & Personal Wellness Services

As the spread of the COVID-19 continues, many celebrities continue to donate money to help out the different communities across the country that have been suffering due to the pandemic. Beyoncé and her BeyGOOD Foundation just announced their donation to organizations that are providing mental and personal wellness services. The donation is in partnership with Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey’s #startsmall initiative.

The donation was announced in an official statement, which states,” In our major cities, African-Americans comprise a disproportionate number of workers in these indispensable occupations, and they will need mental health support and personal wellness care, including testing and medical services, food supplies and food deliveries, both during and after the crisis.”

The $6 million will provide funding to organizations that are providing mental wellness services through a key partnership with UCLA. There will also be a partnership with the National Alliance in Mental Illness that will offer support in New York, Houston, Detriot, and New Orleans.

Personal wellness support will be provided through United Memorial Medical Center, Bread of Life, Mathew 25, and a list of others.

Earlier this month Jack Dorsey also partnered with Rihanna‘s Clara Lionel Foundation to help provide support to domestic violence victims that have been affected by COVID-19.

Prior to that, Jack announced he would be donating $1 billion of his equity in Square to help fund COVID-19 relief efforts, girls’ health, and education and Universal Basic Income pilot programs.
