Beyoncé recently blessed the innanet with one of her longest Instagram captions. The lengthy post highlighted her gratitude for the support the ‘Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé’ has received.
The film’s success is extra special to Beyoncé given that the deadline was tighter than the bodycon looks she served us on tour this year!

“I am so deeply thankful to AMC and every team member who worked so hard on this film. I just can’t thank all of you enough for your support. It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done because of the short turnaround time,” Bey said. “I practically slept in the edit, color, and mix sessions. The race against time continued in order to get this film out so quickly. But it was so worth all the grind. I am overwhelmed by the outpouring of love from my Hive.”
Beyoncé Says Mute Challenges In The Theaters Have Her “Cracking Up”
Queen Bey credited her fans for going all out at the premiere and additional showings. Viewers pulled up to AMC theaters on Dec. 1 decked out in platinum drip and futuristic looks — a continuation of a fashion trend tied to her recent tour. Ticket holders have also been reportedly continuing Beyoncé’s viral mute challenge.
@bowtobeauty We ate the up in orlando disney springs theater 🤣😊 proud of us #beyoncemovie #renaissancefilmbybeyonce #renaissancemovie #renaissancefilm #beyonce #mutechallenge
And if anyone was wondering, the singer is definitely here for all this ENERGY! She encouraged her Hive to keep it up while thanking and welcoming newly-made fans.
She wrote:
“And WOW! I am so touched and encouraged by the incredible reviews!!! I love seeing everyone all dressed up in their most opulent lewks in the theaters. The mute challenges still happening, even in the theater!! Y’all are cracking me up. Please keep that energy going. I can’t wait to see what else yall do 🙂 I also love seeing the positive take aways from people who were not my fans or didn’t yet know my story. The people who had no interest in seeing my shows who have now gained a deeper understanding and respect for all it takes to be a RENAISSANCE woman.”
After selling out concert venues in the U.S. and Europe, Beyoncé confirmed a permanent way to re-live the experience was on its way. She unveiled the trailer for ‘Renaissance’ in early October.
Queen Bey Celebrates Her Film’s Accolades
According to the ‘Alien Superstar’ artist, her documentary has shot to the top of film charts in the U.S. and scored 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. As of Thursday evening, that score stands at 97 percent.
Still, on Dec. 3, AMC estimated that ‘Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé’ pulled in $21 million in North American ticket sales opening weekend, per Billboard. The part-documentary, part-concert footage film is reportedly the first time a film has done over $20 million in the first weekend of December since the release of ‘The Last Samurai’ in 2003.
Deadline reported the final opening number as $27.4 million, including $6.4 million in overseas cinemas.
Bey released the film on Dec. 1 in honor of her Uncle Johnny, who passed away and is largely the inspiration behind the singer’s latest album. The date marks World AIDS Day.
“I’m very proud that we launched the film on World AIDS Day in memory of my Uncle Johnny. I pray I continue to make something that lifts all of y’all up the way you continue to lift me up. While I’m often critical and feel my art is never finished, the pendulum swings. I feel gratitude. “We did it.” We have the #1 movie in the country! And a 100 on Rotten Tomatoes. And it’s because of you and your support! I humbly thank you.”
Her self-celebratory post comes after her mother, Tina Lawson, clapped back at critiques of her premiere look. Some online users accused the singer of white-washing her skin, and Mama Tina went IN.
