Roomies, Beyoncé has officially launched her haircare line, Cécred, and we’ve got all the tea on what you need to know.
Queen Bey launched Cécred during the early hours of Tuesday, February 20. When fans head over to the website and interact with the brand’s story page, they are greeted with words from the singer.
The 42-year-old explains why she took this step and speaks on her “lifelong dream.”
“It’s been my lifelong dream to create these hair products and bring some of my mother’s teachings to life. We started by prioritizing the needs of textured hair like mine and others who lack moisture and strength. It was important to honor past rituals while infusing our personal touch by adding advanced science to build new sacred rituals,” Bey explained. “The result was haircare defined by its performance, quality, and intention. Haircare that isn’t put into the same box others have tried to put me in as a Black woman throughout my career. Haircare that will keep my hair healthy despite how often I change it up as a performer—the coloring, high-tension styles, sewing, sweat, and buildup.”
Before concluding, the singer explained that she built Cécred “from the ground up.”
“I built Cécred from the ground up. I poured into it everything I’ve learned throughout my life so we can borrow some of our past and bring it to the future,” she continued. “Cécred is about prioritizing yourself and all the things you hold sacred.”
According to the brand’s formulation page, Cécred utilizes bioactive keratin, honey, and lactobacillus ferment. Combined, these ingredients support a healthy scalp, provide hydration, and penetrate the hair’s cortex to “visibly strengthen weak, damaged, or highly manipulated hair.”
At this time, Cécred currently has its Foundation Collection available for purchase. The collection features a total of eight physical products. This includes a Clarifying Shampoo & Scalp Scrub, a Hydrating Shampoo, a Moisturizing Deep Conditioner, and more.
Prices for the products currently range from $30-$52, excluding the purchases of gift cards. Additionally, orders over $65 receive free shipping.
Furthermore, fans can rest assured that they can narrow down the products best for their hair with the brand’s interactive quiz. The quiz requires consumers to input their hair type, thickness, density, and other factors to determine the best-fit products.
Additionally, consumers will be able to keep their results on hand afterward.
Beyoncé Recently Shared Her Hair Care Routine
At this time, Bey has yet to take to her own personal Instagram account to announce the launch of her line. However, she previously opened up about her new brand while speaking exclusively with Essence.
“My priorities are quality and intention. It was important to decide where we invested in our formulations. I knew what I wanted to do, with technology that works for all women and all textures, because I had not been able to find it. I built this from the ground up and funded it myself,” she explained.”…This business was led by heart and passion, not by a business plan. We went above and beyond to make decisions based on results and the absolute best science. And better results meant more investment in quality products… It’s bigger than me, or hair. Now we have created something that celebrates healthy hair for all women, including us. I’m always honored to invest in us.”
As The Shade Room previously reported, the ‘Dangerously In Love’ singer even shared her own personal haircare routine.
