Word on the street is that Beyoncé and Jay-Z have acquired a noteworthy piece of property, as the $200M home is allegedly the most expensive house ever sold in California!
According to TMZ, the 30,000-square-foot Malibu mansion is located within a high-rollin’ area and situated on 8 acres of land overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
It’s also noted that celebrity realtor Kurt Rappaport oversaw the purchase, and — as the sellers initially sought $295M — it looks like Beyoncé and Jay-Z got a great deal!
This $200M purchase reportedly set a new record for the most expensive home sold in the state, as it left the previous $177M record in the dust.
Additionally, we should add that it’s reportedly also the second most expensive real estate deal in the country, with a $238M New York City apartment claiming the top spot.
As for the home, TMZ says it took 15 years to build the all-concrete house. Japanese architect Tadao Ando, who’s allegedly working on a home for Kanye West, also designed it.

This news comes as Beyoncé is busy traveling for her Renaissance World Tour.
As The Shade Room previously reported, the artist kicked off her tour in Stockholm, Sweden, earlier this month.
She specifically announced the tour at the very start of Black History Month, sending the Beyhive into quite a frenzy. The tour is set to continue through early autumn, and a New Orleans show on Sept. 27 is the final stop.
Markedly, after Beyoncé ignited hair-related speculation, news broke that Natalia Bryant was listed as an intern for the tour. IKTR!
