Beyoncé continues to make headlines as she shuts down every show on her “Formation World Tour”. However, it’s her good deed that’s making headlines this time around.
Last night the tour made its stop in Detroit, which marked the end of the first North American leg of the Tour.
While in Detroit, Yoncé donated $82,234 to United Way of Genesee County to help the residents of Flint who suffered and continues to suffer from the city’s water crisis.
According to the Detroit Free Press, the #Beyhive members had the option to donate when they purchased their tickets, which helped raise the funds, along with Chime For Change and CrowdRise.
She also awarded 14 high school students with “college gifts” to pay for college expenses, as well as tickets to last nights show.
Beyoncé will be taking her Formation World Tour overseas starting June 28th and will make her return to the states on September 7th.
