Beyoncé & Billie Eilish Among Performers Set To Hit The Stage At The 2022 Oscars

Roomies, Beyoncé is popping out to give us an Oscar performance, hunni.

The Academy just announced that Be Alive from the King Richard film will be performed by Queen Bey. Billie Eilish will also perform No Time To Die with Finneas.

Reba McEntire is also heading to the Oscars, singing Somehow You Do from the movie Four Good Days, and Sebastián Yatra will also hit the stage with Dos Oruguitas from Encanto.

A few commenters expressed their excitement about the performances. One person wrote, “This means Beyoncé will win! She only shows up if she’s winning.” Another person added, “And the new era begins! Let’s go Bey!”  Somebody else added, “Literally how the Oscars play us every year, and then get us back we still not watching.”

Tyrese also stepped into TSR’s comments and wrote, “Both songs…..Truly amazing Beyoncé we all want you to win this so badly….Would be over the moon with this win!!!”

Y’all tuning into the Oscars?

Speaking of awards, Houston’s own J. Prince just called on Drake, Nicki Minaj, Kanye West, and The Weeknd to boycott the Grammys. In an Instagram post, he stated, “I’ve been watching the Grammys control and dictate our culture to their benefit up close and personal for the past 30 years,” he said. “And all the artists, managers, and executives would do is complain but never have the nuts to come together to do anything about it.” As the video continued, he recommended that the artists come together in Las Vegas and perform simultaneously as the GRAMMYs on a special network and streaming platform.

Nicki Minaj commented “Respect” on the post, seemingly agreeing with the legend. In the past, Nicki has been vocal about being snubbed by the GRAMMYs.

If you recall, in November 2020, she tweeted how although she had seven simultaneous songs on the Billboard charts, she didn’t win Best New Artist in 2012.

Roomies, what y’all think about J. Prince’s request to boycott the Grammys?
