Roommates, Houston is reeling from the loss of legendary producer and rapper BeatKing, who has passed away.
BeatKing is known for hits like, ‘Thick,’ ‘Then Leave,’ and ‘Outside Remix’ featuring Natalie Nunn, among many others.
BeatKing’s girlfriend, Talameshia, confirmed his untimely passing to The Shade Room.
BeatKing’s manager, Tasha Felder, also posted about his death on Instagram alongside photos of him. In her statement and caption, Felder highlighted his legacy and emphasized that his unique sound would live on forever.
“Today, August 15, 2024 we have lost @Clubgodzilla. BeatKing has been the best part of the club for over a decade. He has produced and worked with so many artists, that his sound will forever live. He loved his daughters @clubgodparenting, his music and his fans. We love him forever.”
Fox 26 Houston confirms that BeatKing, real name Justin Riley, died at 39. His rep, believed to be Felder, revealed to TMZ that the producer died from a pulmonary embolism. He reportedly fainted while hosting at Urban One/Radio One station and was rushed to the hospital. BeatKing reportedly died later in the day with his two daughters by his side, per TMZ.
