#Roommates, despite COVID-19 cases spiking across the country, love is still in the air! “Basketball Wives” star CeCe Gutierrez finally wed her fiancé (and former Lakers coach) Byron Scott in an intimate ceremony that was livestreamed for family and friends to enjoy.
On Saturday, July 11th, “Basketball Wives” star CeCe Gutierrez officially married former Lakers coach Byron Scott in a private ceremony, which was livestreamed for family and friends who could not be part of the nuptials due to the coronavirus pandemic. “Today I married the love of my life, my best friend, my soulmate,” CeCe, 47, captioned a series of Instagram photos from her highly-anticipated wedding day.
CeCe wore a strapless, Netta BenShabu gown for the big day, as Byron, 59, wore a black tuxedo. In the theme of safety first, both the bride and groom decided to wear masks during the ceremony—which were adorned with an abundance of crystals.
She also revealed via Instagram that her wedding had a very sentimental element from her family:
“On our special day I want to thank my mother and my brother for their amazing musical talents. It meant so much to us to have soprano vocalist (my mother) Edith Gutierrez sing our bridal song ‘Ave Maria.’The artist of our second wedding song was my brother Jay and it was titled ‘Rise Up’ it was perfect!”
Back in June, Byron announced that they would be adjusting their wedding day festivities due to the coronavirus pandemic, saying “God had other plans for our big day and unfortunately we aren’t able to celebrate the wedding of your dreams with our family and friends in the big way that we had planned.”
Additionally, it has also been announced that CeCe Gutierrez will return for the next season of VH1’s hit series “Basketball Wives.” Congrats to the couple!
