VP Kamala Harris Weighs In

Furthermore, Kamala stood ten toes behind Biden’s debate performance. Speaking on X, the VP began her message: “There are three things that were true yesterday, before the debate, that are still true today.”

“First the stakes of this race could be higher. Second, the contrast in this election could not be more stark. And third, we believe in our President, @Joe Biden, and we believe in what he stands for.”

In a second tweet, Harris addressed Trump and questioned if his integrity aligned with being the head of state. “In a real leader, character matters more than style, and Donald Trump simply does not have the character to be president of the United States,” she wrote.

Moreover, Kamala followed with a tweet highlighting what she felt was the difference between Biden and Trump. She said, “Last night, @JoeBiden made clear this election is a contrast between someone who lies and someone who leads.”

VP Harris furthered her thoughts in an on-camera interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper. Swipe below to see what she said.

Barack Obama’s Comments On Joe Biden’s Debate Performance

Obama empathized with Joe and lent some advice to the American people via X the day after the debate. The 62-year-old wrote:

“Bad debate nights happen. Trust me, I know. But this election is still a choice between someone who fought for ordinary folks his entire life and someone who only cares about himself.” He continued, “Between someone who tells the truth; who knows right from wrong and will give it to the American people straight — and someone who lies through his teeth for his own benefit. Last night didn’t change that, and it’s why so much is at stake in November.”

He added the link to Biden’s website at the end of the tweet.

President Joe also commented on his performance during a rally on June 28 in North Carolina. The 81-year-old said, “I know I’m not a young man. I know…state the obvious.” The crowd began to cheer loudly and chant his name.

He continued, “I don’t talk as smoothly as I used to…but I know how to tell the truth.” Biden reassured his supporters, “I know right from wrong, and I know how to do this job.” The President passionately stated, “…I know like millions of Americans know — when you get knocked down, you get back up!” The crowd roared in response to his statement.
