As each day passes with the current POTUS, we realize just how much we miss our forever president, Barack Obama. Following the widespread panic worldwide due to the increasingly deadly coronavirus outbreak, Obama decided to offer words of calm and wisdom as only he can, to get us through.
There are many things we miss about Barack Obama as our president and of his best characteristics is his ability to be cool under pressure—which is exactly what we need as we struggle with the coronavirus outbreak.
Our forever president recently took to Twitter to offer some advice and ease our fears in the process:
“Protect yourself and your community from coronavirus with common sense precautions: wash your hands, stay home when sick and listen to the @CDCgov and local health authorities. Save the masks for health care workers. Let’s stay calm, listen to the experts, and follow the science.”
Obama’s comments come at the perfect time, as the Centers For Disease Control has been heavily criticized for its slow testing roll out, which caused a delay in testing that some health officials are increasingly concerned about because it could mean the coronavirus will spread more rapidly.
As of right now, there are at least 130 confirmed and presumptive positive cases of coronavirus in the U.S. and a total of 10 people have died nationally. Obama, along with health officials, have urged Americans to wash their hands as frequently as possible as a method of protection and to stop buying surgical masks out of concern of a shortage for health care workers who use them regularly.
Roommates, what are your thoughts on this?
