#Roommates, our forever President and First Lady are out here living their best lives and making very big moves since leaving the White House. Barack and Michelle Obama have reportedly dropped millions on an extravagant mansion on Martha’s Vineyard.
Although we wish that they would return to us and save us from the current madness going on in the White House, Barack and Michelle Obama have instead decided to enjoy their lives in a luxurious new estate. @Yahoo reports that the power couple just dropped almost $12 million on a 7-bedroom mansion located on Martha’s Vineyard. The 6,892-square-foot home was previously their vacation home and will now be turned into their permanent residence.
The gorgeous Martha’s Vineyard property sits on 29.3 acres and in addition to the seven bedrooms, it also contains eight-and-a-half bathrooms, multiple stone fireplaces and a pool. The home was built back in 2001 and is located next to the Edgartown Great Pond featuring views of the ocean.
While Barack has maintained his busy schedule with multiple speaking engagements this year, Michelle enjoyed massive success with her record-breaking, best-selling memoir “Becoming”—which sold over 11 million copies and was accompanied by a sold-out book tour.
The couple also topped off 2019 with a multimillion dollar Netflix deal to create and produce original content. Even more good news, if you loved Michelle’s memoir, get ready because Barack is currently writing his and it’s expected to hit shelves just before the 2020 presidential election.
Congrats to our faves!
