August Alsina Opens Up About Love & Relationships
According to HotNewHipHop, August joined Nick Cannon and others to share his romantic feelings and how he perceives the bonds he forms with prospective partners.
Alsina emphasized that he avoids defining himself by gender or sexuality norms. He stated that he views love as a language in which he is “fluent” across different genders and sexual orientations.
“To be honest with you, bro, it’s not even me that’s opening my heart. It’s that power that’s higher than myself. I always say that the greatest gift that God could have ever given me was exposure. To expose me to so many different kinds of people, places, things,” August said.
Alsina continued to explain that he believes love is more complex than just an orientation.
“So it’s like, when people want you to define yourself as whether you’re gay, straight, bisexual, or whatever it is you was just talking about, love is much more complex than that and has much more depth,” Alsina added. “So for me, I’m just the kind of person that, because love is a language, I’m fluent in love when it speaks to me.”
August Alsina is asked about loving another man, and he speaks about opening his heart, saying that love is much more complex.

More Details On August’s Speculated Romance
August made these latest comments a week after he enjoyed a boat day with his lil’ fren Zu.
Recently, The Shade Room obtained video footage of the duo sailing across a blue sea. The guys were servin’ face and bawdy as they enjoyed their quality time together.
August first introduced Zu to the world during an episode of VH1’s ‘The Surreal Life’ in 2022.
The R&B musician expressed his desire to honor those who have influenced his life, including the man who, he said, was teaching him “so much about love and healing.”
In a confessional, August spoke confidently about Zu, sharing his wish to honor him for a love that “defies all constructs.”
“Love showed up but in a new way. I want to share that and really honor the person that I love, and that loves me back, and teaching me so much about love and healing, I want to do that in front of the world because it defies all the constructs that one would say love is supposed to be or love should look like.”
August has never publicly confirmed a romantic relationship with Zu, but social media users have speculated about their intimate connection based on August’s past descriptions of their bond.
