Rapper Yung Mazi, who is most known for working with artists such as Young Thug and Kevin Gates, was reportedly shot in the chest early Tuesday morning.
According Complex, the shooting took place at the Waffle House around 3 a.m. while he was waiting to place his order. He was shot once in the chest but he is expected to survive as he is currently recovering at a local hospital.
Witnesses tell 11Alive that he was with serval of his friends and they were able to rush him to the hospital.
The shooter still remains at loose, and police have yet to receive a description.
Yung Mazi has been shot 10 times prior to this recent shooting. In an interview that took place earlier this year he talked about why he feels like he is often targeted.
He said, “I’m a real dude. Some people don’t like real dudes. That’s cool. I’m not hating. I’m not mad.”
