#Amazon is currently in Seattle, WA, but the company has been on the search for the perfect city to build their second headquarters! The company has previously stated that they are seeking a metropolitan area with “1 million people and a stable, business-friendly environment.”
$5 billion on Amazon’s new location and the company will be employing about 50,000 people. Clearly, whichever city Amazon settles on will receive a bit of an economic boost!
It seems as though Amazon wanted to focus on cities in the south and Midwest, because Los Angeles is the only city on the West Coast that made the cut. Atlanta, New York City, Denver and Toronto are among the 20 cities that the company has narrowed down to.
There are a few surprising locations that made the list. Check them out below:
Atlanta
Austin, Tex.
Boston
Chicago
Columbus, Ohio
Dallas
Denver
Indianapolis
Los Angeles
Miami Montgomery County, Md.
Nashville
Newark
New York
Northern Virginia
Philadelphia
Pittsburgh
Raleigh, N.C.
Toronto

Did your hometown make the cut?!
