Erica Banks is shaking the table with her recent comments on Nicki Minaj’s collaboration choices, particularly with female rappers. During a podcast appearance, Erica declared that the industry veteran “entertains the girls who don’t know how to rap.” The now-viral moment inspired comparisons between Erica and Asian Doll, who’s also been extra vocal about wanting a Nicki feature. Between Sunday and Monday, Asian Doll took to social media to remove her name from the narrative!
“Ayo don’t speak on me including me & my name & everything I’ve built randomly involving me in the next b***h situation tf,” Asian Doll tweeted. “She sounded dumb as f*ck we nun alike keep that sh*t over there fr, I don’t agree or respect sh*t she said so the side by side pics ain’t giving at all bye.”
Erica Banks Says Nicki Minaj Entertains ‘Bad’ Female Rappers
As previously reported, Erica spoke on Nicki’s decisions as an artist during an episode of the Big Facts podcast. She, once again, cleared up the March situation where Nicki blocked her on social media.
Erica said the award-winning artist had previously shown her posts love, including dropping off some likes. Then, rapper Baby Tate revealed on Twitter that she’d been “giving [Nicki] flowers and love” only to get unanswered DMs. In a separate tweet, Baby Tate claimed to have seen Nicki “interact with, follow, love artists [she] personally thinks can’t rap at all.” At some point, Erica agreed with the message. And her cosign landed her on Mrs. Petty’s block list.
Well you know, I love Nicki but I just feel like I’ve been tryna reach out to her for a long time and I just feel like she kinda ignored me,” Baby Tate said. “And I feel like she entertains the girls who really don’t even know how to rap, you know what I’m saying? And my feelings hurt.”
Erica didn’t name the rap girls her shade was aimed at. She did say that “some people might get mad” for her commentary, but in her eyes “it’s the truth.”
Asian Doll Slams Comparisons To Erica
The industry veteran has blessed several female artists, including Megan Thee Stallion, BIA and most recently Coi Leray, with highly coveted features. And almost immediately, folks online seemed to think Erica was referencing Coi, who’s previously faced criticism for her rap skills. Coi responded by retweeting an interview clip with laughing emojis.
Erica’s commentary somehow roped Asian Doll’s name into the conversation. Asian has also publicly spoken on wanting to work with Nicki. Within the same time frame as Baby Tate and Erica’s comments in March, Asian tweeted that she was next in Nicki’s line.
“Y’all b****es can shut up. Nicki not doing a song with y’all before me no ways tf get in line h*e,” Asian tweeted.
Except, that Asian was wrong. Next in line, behind BIA’s successful Whole Lotta Money feature, came Coi’s Blick Blick. Not only did Nicki hop on the track, she’s been vocal about her support for Coi’s music, including her new album Trendsetter.
#NoMoreParties is too classic for y’all to leave the original off. It should’ve started the whole album.
These r the songs I think Coi shines on & should’ve been higher on the tracklist #Twinnem #Anxiety #HeartInACoffin#HeartBreakKid #TooFar #AyeYaiYai ft #YungBleu

So where does that leave Asian? Apparently, not on the same wave as Erica. She let off another tweet on Monday making it crystal where she stands.
“Erica played HERSELF nun of the rap girls think like this except the person that sat her a** in that seat on that stage & said what she said so therefore she standing on that ALONE don’t drag us with the women with all RESPECT,” Asian tweeted.
