Asian Doll is reassuring fans her absence at this year’s BET Awards was no mistake even though she said she knows fans are “(used) to seeing me.”
Queen Von took to Twitter Monday morning to interact with fans who questioned why she wasn’t there at this year’s festivities.
One fan suggested that the rapper may have been intentionally left out but Asian Doll was quick to clear the air about it.
“I feel like @AsianDaBrattt had the biggest female rap song and should of been nominated,” the fan wrote. “F**k the charts. At this point mfs behind the scenes is hating. #NUNNADETS**T.”
Asian made it clear the decision not to attend the 2021 BET Awards was her own and she set a few other things straight in her response to her devoted fan.
“I didn’t want to attend the awards this year,” she began her tweet. “I know y’all use to seeing me I’ll go next year just for y’all tho.”
Asian Doll didn’t give much insight as to why she chose not to go, nor does she necessarily owe anyone an explanation but her lack of details had some people wondering if she was even invited to the award show.
“Sus if u didn’t get an invite it’s okay,” one Roommate wrote.
“I never seen her at one…but ok see you next time,” said another.
Asian Doll chose not to clap back at the jokes, definitely showing some growth because sis is quick with the Twitter fingers.
It seems like Asian really has been focused on her music career and is trying to get some of the industry’s heavy hitters to notice it. Back in March, Asian Doll expressed interest in signing with Yo Gotti’s record label.
We’re sure if she keeps working at it, she’ll be at next year’s award show.
