Apple has finally revealed the music streaming service it has been working on called, Apple Music at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference in San Franscico.
Rapper, Drake who reportedly has a $20 million contract with Apple, took to the stage to discuss the new Apple Connect feature and how it would benefit fans and artists alike.
“Focus on your body of work,” he said. “Instead of having to post your stuff on these different and sometimes confusing places, it’s all in one place: Connect.”
According to The Verge, “Connect is designed to allow artists, both major and small-time, to share their output and connect directly with fans with lyrics, behind-the-scenes photos, remixes, and more. If that sounds familiar, it should — Ping, Apple’s shuttered social music network, hinged on connecting listeners to artists.”
And of course to stay ahead of its competitors like Tidal and Spotify, Apple Music has a list of perks for subscribing. A subscription will only cost you $9.99 a month but in turn you will get the first three months free!! Not only that but Drake has also revealed that his next album will only drop exclusively on the Apple service!
Drake took to his Instagram to promote his new business venture
The Weeknd helped close out the presentation with his new song, “Can’t Feel My Face”. The streaming service will launch on June 30th for Apple users and for Windows and Android users, you guys unfortunately have to wait until the Fall! Let’s chat below!!
