The cast for the upcoming Marvel film, ‘Black Panther’ seems to be only get better with time.
It was recently announced that Angela Bassett has been added to the cast for the upcoming Marvel film, which is expected to release in 2018.
According to Deadline, Bassett will play the role of Ramonda, the mother to T’Challa, who is also known as the Black Panther. The role will be played by Chadwick Boseman.
She will join the list of other great actors, which include Michael B. Jordan, Forest Whitaker, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira and a host of others.
In the comic series Ramonda is the step-mother to the Black Panter, whose real mother died while giving birth to him. In the series Ramonda is believed to have run away, however it was later discovered that she was kidnapped.
Ryan Coogler will direct the film, and he will also write the script along with Joe Robert Cole.
