Celebrities are still sharing their thoughts about Will Smith’s actions at the Oscars over the weekend, and Amy Schumer, who co-hosted the show alongside Chris Rock, is the latest to do so!
Despite the altercation happening days ago and Will issuing a public apology to Chris and those in attendance at the Academy Awards, Schumer took to Instagram to express that she is still “triggered and traumatized” after the incident.
“Still triggered and traumatized,” she wrote. “I love my friend Chris Rock and believe he handled it like a pro. Stayed up there and gave an Oscar to his friend Quest Love and the whole thing was so disturbing.”
As we’ve previously reported, Will Smith put his hands on Chris Rock in defense of his wife Jada Pinkett-Smith, after the comedian make an insensitive joke about her bald haircut. Will also shared some choice words with Chris saying, “Keep my wife’s name out your f*cking mouth.”
Jada Pinkett-Smith recently revealed that she is suffering from alopecia. Nevertheless, Amy Schumer said she is sickened by the events of the evening.
“So much pain in Will Smith anyway I’m still in shock and stunned and sad,” Schumer continued. “I’m proud of myself and my cohosts. But yeah. Waiting for this sickening feeling to go away from what we all witnessed.”
We all know Amy Schumer has a unique sense of humor, so it’s unclear whether or not the comedian made the post as a joke or as promotion for her new Hulu series, which she mentioned in the opening line of her caption.
