Amber Rose is ALL IN on Donald Trump, and her speech on day one of the Republican National Convention (RNC) proves it.
For weeks, she has used her words and fashion to express her political support for the GOP nominee! The Sl*twalk founder first announced she’d be taking the RNC stage last week and followed through on Monday (July 15).
Rose traded in her Trump paraphernalia for a plain, black dress on Monday night. She began her speech by saying the “best chance” for our “babies” to have a “better life” is electing Donald. Rose added that the “media” have vilified the presidential candidate.
“I’m no politician, and I don’t wanna be, but I do care about the truth, and the truth is that the media has lied to us about Donald Trump,” Amber Rose said. “I know this because, for a long time, I believed those lies.”
Amber Rose’s main point of the evening was that folks “have to do their research,” per Variety. She added that Trump being called a racist is the work of “left-wing propaganda.” However, she said that watching his rallies and speaking to his supporters changed her perspective.
“I realized Donald Trump and his supporters don’t care if you’re Black, white, gay or straight. It’s all love,” Amber Rose said. “And that’s when it hit me: These are my people. This is where I belong.”
American families are “better” with Donald Trump in office, Amber suggested.
Wrapping her words, she said, “The left told me to hate Trump and, even worse, to hate the other side — the people who support him. When you cut through the lies, you realize the truth: American families were better when Donald Trump was president. We were safer, wealthier, and stronger.”
In addition to Amber Rose, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green (also known as the “Bad Built Butch Body” lady), Senator Tim Scott, and Senator Katie Britt spoke at the RNC.
Day one of the convention wrapped less than a week after an attempted assassination of Donald Trump’s life. Thomas Matthew Crooks was identified as the shooter. He’s a 20-year-old registered Republican, but police are still determining where exactly his political allegiance lies.
At this time, reports say he had no prior criminal record and likely acted alone when he fired from a rooftop 150 meters away from Trump’s podium. Donald pulled up to the RNC wearing a white bandage on one of his ears, marking one of his first public appearances since the rally shooting.
