Roommates, Amazon is looking to prioritize our needs, and will limit the items their vendors may have shipped up until April 5th.
A company spokesperson stated there is an increase in online shopping subsequently because of the self-quarantine, and many products are out of stock.
“We are seeing increased online shopping and as a result some products such as household staples and medical supplies are out of stock. With this in mind, we are temporarily prioritizing household staples, medical supplies and other high-demand products coming into our fulfillment centers so we can more quickly receive, restock and ship these products to customers.”
Hand sanitizer, diapers, canned beans, disinfectant wipes, and dog food are among the few items that will be shipped.
As it stands, shoppers can currently buy what’s listed on the site, while supplies last. But customers can expect a delay in shipping.
The Seattle based company also announced yesterday that they were in need of hiring 100,000 workers to keep up with the spike in online orders.
Good to know they’re prioritizing necessities during this time.
