According to the outlet, 20-year-old Keith Agee was arrested and charged with aggravated battery and homicide on Friday.

Additionally, Agee’s mother, Sheila Agee, was arrested in Alabama and charged with first-degree premeditated murder on Monday, as per CBS Austin. According to authorities, Agee’s mother allegedly “helped coordinate” the fatal shooting, as per Pensacola News Journal.
“The murder itself is unbelievable, but to know the mother knew about it and helped coordinate it is incomprehensible,” Sheriff Chip W. Simmons explained via a Facebook statement.

According to CBS Austin, Keith Agee is being held in Escambia County Jail in Florida without bond. Additionally, his mother is being extradited from Alabama to the same facility, as per Fox 35 Orlando.

The fatal shooting occurred on Friday afternoon at the Home Depot at 5309 N. Davis Highway in Pensacola, Florida, according to Fox 35 Orlando. Before this, Agee and his mother allegedly conspired to target the mother of his 2-year-old daughter, Brooklyn Sims, as per CBS Austin.
According to CBS Austin, Sims was a contracted employee working at the aforementioned Home Depot location.

Authorities have since released text messages shared between Keith Agee and his mother. Additionally, Agee expressed strong disdain for Sims in the messages, while his mother encouraged his actions.

Sheila: “Hell if you getting off work now I’ll give you the address here and you can ride over here and do it so you don’t have to do it in front of [daughter].”
Sheila: “Hold up let me get it erase the texts cause I don’t want nobody to know I was texting you stupid [expletive].”

According to Pensacola News Journal, when authorities arrived on the scene following the shooting, Sims was found dead. Additionally, officers found two other people injured.
Details Regarding The Relationship Of The Victim & Shooting Suspect
An arrest warrant alleges that Keith Agee began his day on Friday by preparing for work in Alabama. However, he received a call from a local medical office and decided to drive to Pensacola to injure Sims, as per CBS Austin.
According to Wear TV, friends of Sims have shared that her relationship with Agee has always been “a rough situation.”
“It was a rough situation between them trying to be together. Recently she’s just been trying to co-parent with him. That’s all she kind of wanted to do,” Xia Xang Parnell, a coworker and friend of Sims, explained. “All she ever talked about was that baby. Kacey is and was her life.”
