Akbar V has issued a heartbreaking update as her daughter, Dora, continues to fight for her life in the hospital.
On Thursday (December 21), the internet personality announced on Instagram that Dora’s condition had not improved since her emergency rush to the ICU earlier this week.
While Akbar never disclosed what had initially led to Dora’s deteriorating health, in her most recent post, she expressed that her daughter was “staying strong.”
The ‘Love & Hip Hop’ star appeared to be holding back her emotions as she mentioned that while Dora has somewhat been able to communicate, she has not been able to open her eyes.
“She can’t really see,” she shared. “It’s blood under her brain, and sometimes God has to take you through certain things to strengthen you.”
Akbar V draws her strength to keep going from her faith and belief that God will help her daughter pull through, even though it’s understandably difficult for her. In her post, she mentioned her previous loss of her mother to a brain aneurysm, indicating that her family is not unfamiliar with brain-related health issues.
While Akbar V felt she owed it to her fans to be honest about the situation, given that her children are often featured on her social media platforms, she didn’t appreciate the comments from trolls.
Some have taken to platforms such as X, saying that the youngster’s rush to the hospital was Akbar V’s karma for how she previously spoke about Alexis Skyy‘s daughter, Alaiya.
In May 2021, the socialites got into a physical altercation outside a nightclub they were both hosting. The pair then engaged in a brutal social media war which turned ugly when Akbar V began bringing up Alaiya’s disability.
In an Instagram Live, she told Skyy, “Your daughter is r*tarded because of you. Tell the truth! You had cocaine in your system. Tell the truth!”
In another portion of her Live, she went as far as to call Alaiyah “braindead,” which sparked huge backlash from Skyy’s fans, many of who felt Akbar V had taken their feud too far.
“What you’re not going to do is talk about that little girl,” Alexis Skyy yelled as she went on Live to address Akbar’s remark. “I will die for her. If I gotta lose my life, I’ll lose my life over that girl.”
