Trump Administration May End Legal Recognition Of Transgender Americans

#Roommates, everyone at The Shade Room is welcomed here with open arms no matter your race, gender, or sexual orientation. Unfortunately, I wish I could say the same for our country but I can’t. Donnie and his administration are trying to put an end to the word transgender, by eradicating it.

According to Vox, this move would take away “the gender identity of some 1.4 million Americans — and require genetic testing in some cases to match a person’s gender with the sex they were assigned at birth.”

The New York Times reported on Sunday that the Department of Health and Human Services has already started sending around what sex would legally be defined as under Title IX, which is “the federal civil rights law that bans discrimination in education on the basis of gender — that would render immutable the sex of a person at birth. “

What this means is that if you’re born a boy, then you’re a boy forever, no matter if you decide you want to be a woman later on in life. The same with women as well.
