Sad news to report, it has just been confirmed that famed actor Ray Liotta, best known for his role in the 1990 film classic ‘Goodfellas,’ has passed away at the age of 67. We want to send our thoughts and prayers to his loved ones during this difficult time.
Ray Liotta was found dead in his sleep, his publicist confirms, while shooting a new movie in the Dominican Republic titled ‘Dangerous Waters.’ He leaves behind his daughter Karsen and fiancée Jacy Nittolo. Being in the entertainment industry for more than 40 years, Ray Liotta has dozens of film roles under his belt, however his most famous and career-defining role is that of the character “Henry Hill” in the Martin Scorsese Oscar-winning mob drama, ‘Goodfellas.’
According to reports, he was in the middle of multiple projects, including the film ‘Cocaine Bear’ from actress/director Elizabeth Banks that was recently completed and was also set to star alongside Demi Moore in ‘The Substance,’ but sadly that project will now have to be recast or put on hold.
Additionally, Ray Liotta was had joined forced with the A&E network to act as an executive producer on the docuseries ‘Five Families,’ about the dramatic rise and fall of the New York mafia’s most infamous figures, the Genovese, Gambino, Bonnano, Colombo and Lucchese crime families.
As of now, there has been no further news regarding his cause of death and no one from his family has spoken out about the tragic loss, as details are still scarce.
