Roommates, we are sending our deepest condolences to the family members of actor Charlie Robinson. His team confirmed that he, unfortunately, passed away at the age of 75.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, his rep confirmed that he passed away on Sunday at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center from “cardiac arrest with multisystem organ failures due to septic shock and metastatic adenocarcinoma.”
His career has spanned over decades and he has starred in many projects in both film and television. He’s most known for starring in the 80’s sitcom “Night Court,” which aired from 1984 to 1992. He went on to star in other projects such as “Set It Off,” “Antwone Fisher,” “The House Bunny,” and more.
Wendell Pierce, who starred alongside Robinson in the recent James Tyler’s play “Some Old Black Man,” spoke about his passing and said, “It only took 27 days and we created a lifetime. Charlie Robinson and I quarantined together during this pandemic to create a play and in that short time, we created a lifetime of friendship. A special bond, like the father and son, we portrayed in the play. We had a mission.”
He continued to share a quote from Arthur Miller, and added, “Tonight Charlie Robinson has joined the ages. Rest In Peace, my friend of 27 days.”
