A$AP Ferg, Dave East, and Dapper Dan are among the latest celebrities to give back to their community this holiday season. The rappers and fashion legend joined DJ Webstar for his 12th Annual Harlem Holiday Toy Drive on Sunday.
The event was presented by Cash App, in partnership with Tidal and the Gap. It also featured the biggest turnout to date with thousands of toy and coat donations collected. The donations are to be received by The Boys and Girls Club of Harlem and the Dunlevy Milbank Community Center.
The holiday toy drive was held inside Room 112 Lounge. In addition to the fashion legend and Harlem-bred rappers, other guests included actor & Comedian Mr. Commodore, Love & Hip Hop star Chrissy Monroe, Artist K Goddess, R&B singer Tylan, Executives Erik Pettie, Tidal SVP Jason Kpana, Cash App Community Impact Strategist Gary Johnson, and a host of influencers, local politicians, and more. Guests enjoyed music and a custom-catered menu by Lighthouse Fish Market.
During the event, Dapper Dan presented DJ Webstar with a Certificate of Recognition. The certificate was from the City of New York and Mayor Eric Adams. And is intended to acknowledge the DJ’s 20 years of service uplifting both seniors and the youth in the Harlem community.
On Monday, DJ Webstar joined A$AP Ferg at the Millbank Center to deliver the new coats and toy donations from Sunday’s Toy Drive. The entertainers also put together custom bicycles for the local children.
