Whether you’ve seen the hilarious memes about it or experienced it in real life, most people know that #CVS is notorious for giving you ridiculously long receipts. I’m sure we all know the struggle, but a woman in Washington D.C. might have us all beat.
Emma Keane posted a photo of a CVS receipt that she claims is six feet long, which she says she received after purchasing just three items at the store, according to @nypost.
Let’s just say sis got a lot of coupons to cash in. Keane’s tweet went viral, where she showed herself holding the receipt up high over her 5-foot-8 frame. The tweet sparked more than a hundred comments.
Apparently Keane received the lengthy receipt because she’s a member of CVS’ ExtraCare program, which often sends members discount coupons and offers. Reps for CVS did not immediately give a public comment on the matter.
Keane had some fun with her viral fame. On her Twitter account, she updated the masses with a picture of the receipt posted up on her workplace wall for her and her coworkers to compare their heights against. The Post-It next to it asked, “How many CVS receipts tall are you?”
Twitter users joined in on the fun with Keane while sharing similar struggles.
“I got one of these while purchasing one (1) Powerade Zero..!” tweeted user CurtisDuggan.
Others had advice for her so that she never has to be in this predicament again.
“Get the CVS app,” Twitter user Tosyclarie tweeted. “You receive your receipt by email and also your cupon, that you can send to your card if you choose to. You get also special discounts. At the point of sale you can also ask for a paper receipt, which is small.”
We’ll keep you up-to-date on the latest, #Roommates!
