A Film About Tamir Rice Is Reportedly In The Works

It looks like the story of Tamir Rice will soon be adapted into a film.

According to Vibe, Samaria Rice, the mother of the slain 12-year-old, is reportedly developing “12: The Tamir Rice Story,” along with Blue Angel Entertainment and Nonara Productions.

Korstiaan Vandiver, the CEO of Blue Angel Entertainment and producer Lionel Ntasano have exclusive rights to the story along with Rice’s mother. Vandiver and Danielle Marshay Lee will co-direct the film and also write the script along with Samaria Rice as well.

Samaria Rice said, “I’m honored and very grateful to [Korstiaan and Danielle] for believing in me and this legacy for Tamir.”

Vandiver added, “We are just as honored to have the opportunity to bring this story to life and we are all very excited to start this journey together. Tamir’s narrative is so timely and yet so long overdue.”

12-year-old Tamir Rice was killed back 2014 in Cleveland, Ohio by officer Timothy Loehmannat at a local park after he and his partner responded to a call.
