Blac Chyna isn’t stepping back from her fight against the Kardashian-Jenner family just yet, according to her lawyer.
Lynne Ciani, who represents the entrepreneur, told the Associated Press Chyna plans to appeal the verdict in her defamation case against Kris and Kylie Jenner and Khloe and Kim Kardashian. As previously reported, the judge ruled to remove Kim from the lawsuit amid deliberations–meaning the final verdict applied to Kris, Kylie, and Khloe.
Per AP, Chyna’s attorney Lynne said her reading of the verdict shows the jury determined two things. The first: “Chyna had not physically abused Rob Kardashian.”
And second: “all four defendants had intentionally interfered with her contract with the E! Network.” With that reading, Lynne said her client plans to “appeal on the remaining questions.”
Jury Rules In Favor Of Kardashian-Jenner Family
On Monday, news broke that Chyna lost her five-year legal battle against the Kardashian-Jenner family. While Blac Chyna heard the final verdict in her $100 million lawsuit, all six stars of Hulu’s new reality show The Kardashians were in New York City for one of fashion’s biggest gatherings: the Met Gala. Their lawyer Michael G. Rhodes said the family was “exuberant,” meaning cheerful, when he called with their win.
Chyna shared a note to social media a little over a week before her trial against the Kardashian-Jenner family began. Getting there had been an uphill battle against motions to dismiss and even settlement meetings, AP reports. In her note, Chyna described the lesson she hoped to teach her children behind taking Dream’s paternal family to court.
“When they got my #1 hit show killed back in January 2017, that not only hurt me financially and emotionally, that hurt my beautiful KIDS,” Chyna wrote. “I’m taking them to court to stand up for my legal rights and to be an example to my kids that “what’s right is right, what’s wrong is wrong.” And what they did was so wrong.”
Blac Chyna And Robert Kardashian Take The Stand
In the end, the jury awarded her no damages for her claims that Kris, Kylie, Kim, and Khloe interfered with her E! network contract. You may remember, Chyna starred alongside Robert as his fianceé on their spin-off reality show Rob & Chyna in 2016. As their relationship soured, so did the show. It only ran one season. According to testimony from Robert, his sisters, mother, and even her boyfriend Corey Gamble, things turned violent and even abusive in December of that year. Robert testified that Chyna “pulled a gun on him twice, hit him with a metal rod, scratched him and struck him with an iPhone cord.”
Even before Robert took the stand, Chyna denied any intentions of harming him. Instead, she labeled the gun interaction a joke. And said she had no intentions of strangling Robert with the cord, but instead wanted to draw his attention away from his video games.
Robert blasted her explanation in his testimony.
“In the beginning I thought it was playful. I didn’t think it got serious until the second gun encounter … you don’t point a gun on your fiancé’s head whether you think it’s loaded or not,” Robert Kardashian testified.
Celebrity Boxing Books Blac Chyna For June Match
It’s unclear how long an appeals process will take in this case. However, AP reports that Robert alone will face separate allegations in a lawsuit. Apparently, Chyna will be due back in court to face off against her ex in a trial that “will likely begin in about a week.”
In the meantime, it’s business as usual for Chyna. She took to social media with a video announcing a different kind of fight in her books: Celebrity Boxing. After Chyna announced the event, fitness influencer Sabrina Parr seemingly expressed her interest in seeing Chyna.
