Sure, the focus of the 2022 GRAMMYS is definitely the winners (and sometimes the losers,) but what kept us dancing at home and entertained all night were the memorable performances. From the legendary Nas taking us back with some of his classics to Justin Bieber slowing things down on the piano, the performances at the 2022 GRAMMYS had a little something for everyone!
Opening the show on an energetic note, Silk Sonic officially got the party started with the funky single ‘777’ from their album, which was a different flavor from the group who has been killing it with slow jams. The crowd was on their feet, as Bruno Mars (on guitar) and Anderson Paak (on drums) set the tone of the night—and we were right along with them.
Fans didn’t have to wait too long to see Lil Nas X shut the stage down at the 2022 GRAMMYS, as his performance consisted of a few hits from his hit album ‘Montero.’ He first took the stage to work up the crowd with ‘Call Me By Your Name’ and then brought out special guest Jack Harlow for ‘Industry Baby.’
A little later in the night, it was time for a legend to take the stage and give a taste of why he’s one of hip hop’s GOAT’s, as Nas performed a medley of his hits. Starting off his set with the inspiring ‘I Can,’ he smoothly transitioned into the soul-stirring ‘One Mic’ before ending things with his latest single ‘Rare.’
Although his hit ‘Peaches’ is a fun and flirty, upbeat tune, Justin Bieber surprisingly slowed things down with a piano version of the song that showed off his vocals. However, once he brought out Giveon and Daniel Caesar, he brought the fun back to life at the 2022 GRAMMYS.
We definitely had a good time and were lit all night!
