Are you slidin’ or nah? Anyone associated with the late King Von goes hard to protect his name. His cousin, rapper Calboy, has been the latest to get into with DaBaby behind “disrespect.” However, Baby clapped back at Calboy yesterday after he hopped on Twitter to get a few things off his chest. Calboy was upset DaBaby was featured on Von’s posthumous album, ‘What It Means to Be King,’ due to his ties with NBA Youngboy.
DaBaby hopped into Say Cheese’s comments and went directly to Calboy. The Charlotte native left several laughing emojis, and in a separate comment, he wrote, “@Calboy Do sumn.” Calboy responded, “You don’t know my body yet.” We’ll give you the rundown if you missed out on the initial posts.
Calboy felt that it was disrespectful for Baby to work on Von’s album after dropping “Better Than You” with Youngboy. The drama with Youngboy started after he dissed Von and his right-hand man Lil Durk, but it doesn’t end there. Youngboy also called out Gucci Mane. As we previously reported, Gucci came for Youngboy on the song ‘Publicity Stunt’ in response to Youngboy’s track, “I Hate YoungBoy.”
Although it’s been a lot of rap beef DaBaby is playing neutral. The ‘Bop’ rapper made it clear in a recent Instagram post clapping back at Durk’s friend rapper Meme600. “I played it cool cuz y’all ni***s wanna make it bout y’all Patna & ion speak on the dead cuz I’m on nat frfr,” He wrote. “Every day, I wake up ready to teach me a ni**a like
So Long Live em , @kingvonfrmdao GOT my respect, he stood on business no excuses, it was just another ni**a there ready to stand on business too.”
As of now, Calboy hasn’t responded to DaBaby. Roommates, drop a comment and let us know your thoughts on the back and forth.
