Whew! The Game’s Twitter fingers got loose late Wednesday night. The rapper took to the platform to condemn using streams as a way to measure rap skills, blast labels and challenge Eminem and any “dumb enough” rappers who are willing to “go to war with [him]” when he’s on his A game. Chile, let’s get into what Game had to say!
The Game Responds To Eminem’s RIAA History News
“All this talk I see on the net saying Eminem is better than me because he sold more records is like saying McDonald’s is better than Tam’s burgers, it’s FALSE,” The Game wrote first. “They just put more money in McDonald’s & promoted the sh*t out the happy meal dangling toys in kids faces.”
The Game might’ve been referencing Wednesday’s reports that Eminem made RIAA history. Apparently, he set the record for artist with the most gold and platinum certified singles. Per the announcement, Eminem has received a total of 227.5 certifications, with 166 million single certifications and 61.5 album certifications. Not only that, the rapper is also one of seven musicians to have three or more diamond albums across any genre or era.
The Game Says Labels Influence The Numbers
In his follow-up tweets, he wrote about the influence of record labels on artist sales and streams.
“Translation for those of you who don’t know how major record companies do business: it’s a machine designed to work for the artists who PLAY NICE in massa’s house,” The Game said. “I was TOO REAL, TOO UNAPOLOGETICALLY BLACK & cut the puppet strings early on in my career n decided to rebel.”
He claims most labels buy albums and pay off people to boost artist sales.
“If you ain’t dancin’ to massa’s tune, you lose your budget & the machine is taken off your project and put to work on another artist who’s willing to SD,” The Game wrote.
Lack of interest apparently kept The Game quiet in the past about these inner industry workings.
“But I’m tired of the lies & bullsh*t propaganda they throw out here for fans to gobble up, conspiracy, smear campaigns & black balls ni**as been bouncin’ round this industry my entire career,” Game continued. “I’m back outside & this entire sh*t bout to get shook the f**k up!!!”
To successfully become a 🐐 approved by both fans & the industry (rap peers, execs etc) you have to do exactly what they want you to do. Eazy, spoke out about it… he died. 2pac was vocal about everything, he died. Nipsey empowered the community, championed independence, he died.

Game Continues To Blast Labels
And outside he’s been, especially with the newly single Kanye West. Game and Ye recently dropped a controversial music video to their song “Eazy.” The video went viral for featuring an animated character that resembles ex-wife Kim Kardashian’s new bae Pete Davidson.
The Game also wrote about the control labels exert over artists and what matters in real rap artistry.
“They only want you to believe in yourself to a certain extent. Soon as you start telling yourself you’re better than their CHOSEN ONE or challenge the machine, they start feeding the internet STATS like I give a f*ck how many records the next man sold,” The Game wrote.
He doubled down on trashing records sales saying, “F*ck how many records he sold, you sold or I sold.” The artist made it clear that sold records mean as much as his “YMCA [trophies].”
“I don’t give a f*ck what songs Eddie Kane use to be able to sing. Get the f*ck in that booth in REAL TIME… TODAY & LET’S F**KIN’ RAP,” Game said.
He wrapped his tweets with what reads like both a warning and a challenge.
“And that ain’t just for Em, that’s for any rapper in this sh*t that been in this sh*t since I came in that’s dumb enough to think they can go to war with me when I’m ALL THE WAY IN MY F**KIN BAG,” the rapper said.
And for anyone who plays with him this year, The Game is prepared to take their “whole fan base.”
