Roommates, as a way of adapting their business in the age of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Girl Scouts have found a brand new way to fulfill millions of cookie orders—and social distance at the same time. Girl Scout cookies are now set to be delivered right to you from the comfort of your home thanks to DoorDash.
According to reports, the Girl Scouts will now be selling their incredibly popular cookies for the 2022 season through food delivery service DoorDash beginning in February. Shanna Prevé, Vice President of Strategic Partnerships and Business Development for DoorDash, recently spoke about the upcoming collaboration.
Prevé stated:
“As a Girl Scouts cookie lover myself, I am so excited to welcome Girl Scouts of the USA to our platform, providing a fast and convenient option for customers to access beloved Girl Scout Cookies on-demand, while empowering Girl Scouts to meaningfully grow their cookie businesses. Through this collaboration, we aim to provide access and opportunity for Girl Scouts, while providing their neighborhoods with safe, efficient, and enjoyable ways to support their local troops.”
In an official press release detailing the new partnership, DoorDash explained how the delivery of Girl Scout cookies will work for customers.
“As part of the entrepreneurial experience, local Girl Scouts will track and fulfill orders, manage inventory, and more, partnering with DoorDash’s technology and team. In select areas, consumers can order Girl Scout Cookies in January for pickup or delivery on DoorDash.com or the DoorDash app, with expanded on-demand delivery beginning in February,” the statement read.
