By now we all know Megan Thee Stallion has made it clear that her education is a priority as she continues to juggle her busy career. This is why she is making it her business to pay it forward and also help another student make it through school.
According to Yahoo Finance, the Hot-Girl head coach will be providing a full 4-year-scholarship to one lucky student who will be attending Roc Nation’s School of Music, Sports, and Entertainment at Long Island University’s Brooklyn campus.
As we previously reported, the school is scheduled to open up this fall and will be offering undergraduate degrees in music, music technology, entrepreneurship and production, and sports management.
Megan spoke about the scholarship opportunity and said, “Getting an education is incredibly important to me. I still have academic goals that I want to achieve, so if I can use my resources to open doors and create opportunities for at least one student, then it’s a victory. It’s important that we encourage our students to pursue their passions and put them in positions to become the next game-changer in whichever fields they choose.”
Megan will also get the chance to speak with students as she said to be speaking during the “Industry Expert Speaker Series,” and will offer some advice about the industry.
As Megan’s career continues to blow up, she has remained dedicated to her college studies, and she’s expected to graduate from Texas Southern University with her degree in healthcare administration.
Roc Nation’s School of Music, Sports, and Entertainment at Brooklyn’s LIU campus was announced last August, and at the time, LIU President Kimberly Cline said, “Our proximity in and around New York City’s epicenter of music and sports clearly positions us to offer unparalleled experiential learning and access to professional opportunities that will launch students to success. We look forward to joining with Roc Nation to offer an unprecedented educational resource that opens up the entertainment and sports world to a new and eager generation.”
