When discussing some of the most popular urban TV shows, 50 Cent’s name must be included in the conversation. You can’t hop on social media without folks talking about his shows ‘Power,’ ‘ Power Book II: Ghost,” or the highly anticipated ‘Black Mafia Family’ show, based on the life of brothers Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory. 50 is always working on the next big thing, and today, it was announced by Deadline that he’s teaming up with ‘Blackish’ Creator and Executive Producer Kenya Barris for a new series on Netflix, ‘The 50th Law.’
The series is based on the bestselling book by 50 and Robert Greene, which has sold well over 2 million copies. Viewers will be in for many lessons as the semi-autobiography details 50 Cent’s rise as a young hustler and an up-and-coming rapper. That’s not all, viewers can see the character receive lessons and anecdotes from historical figures such as Abraham Lincoln, Sun Tzu, Socrates, Napoleon, Malcolm X, and James Baldwin. This is already sounding very different from the other shows under 50’s belt.
While it’s not a secret, 50’s shows cast a variety of influential rappers and musicians like Kash Doll, Mary J. Blige, Method Man, and Kendrick Lamar, to name a few some of everyone and their mamas are trying to get the attention of 50 to secure a role. 50 shared the good news on Instagram about the upcoming show, writing, “Netflix now you know this is a problem, Kenya Barris is no joke and if me and you ain’t cool, you ain’t gonna make it. Let’s work! Boom.GreenLight Gang #bransoncognac #lecheminduroi #bottlerover.”
Fans were shocked to see DaBaby was in his comment section shooting his shot, trying to get his attention. DaBaby commented, “Still studying” with the eyes emoji. Now, this seems like a role he might actually play well with him being from an urban area from Charlotte and a successful rapper! As of right now, 50 haven’t responded to DaBaby. Roommates, would yall be here for this?
