Earlier this year former teammates and coaches expressed their concern for former NBA player Delonte West as a viral video showed him in need of help. Now a recent photo of the former basketball player in Texas has been making its rounds throughout social media, as people continue to express their concerns.
According to TMZ, there are many people that have been trying to help Delonte for the past few months. Multiple sources have reportedly told the site that the NBA, his former coach Doc Rivers, his former college teammate Jameer Nelson and the National Basketball Players Association have all reportedly been trying to lend a helping hand.
The person who took the photo of Delonte says he spotted him this past Tuesday. In the photo, it appears that he is holding up a sign.

As we previously reported, back in January, video of Delonte getting into an altercation went viral. He displayed some concerning behavior as he was seen handcuffed and shirtless on the side of a road in Prince George’s County after being attacked by an unidentified man.
Following the incident, Aaron Goodwin, Delonte’s former agent, said that he was recovering with family members after the altercation.
Several people took to social media as they expressed their concerns for Delonte.
I may be wrong, but I believe NBA players are eligible for pension at 45. I hope the NBA can help Delonte West immediately or make an exemption for his care. Prayers to his healing
