Roommates, the Wisconsin Police officer who shot Jacob Blake seven times in the back has been identified as a seven-year veteran. Rusten Sheskey of the Kenosha Police Department, is reportedly responsible for the horrific shooting of Jacob Blake, the State Department of Justice recently confirmed.
Three days after Wisconsin resident Jacob Blake was brutally shot seven times in the back as his children watched, local state authorities have finally identified the officer responsible. Seven-year veteran police officer Rusten Sheskey, of the Kenosha Police Department, is reportedly the man who fired off the series of shots against Blake.
According to video footage of the shocking incident, Rusten Sheskey shot Jacob Blake while holding onto his shirt after officers first unsuccessfully used a taser, the Wisconsin Justice Department stated. State agents later recovered a knife from the driver’s side floorboard of the vehicle, authorities said.
As of right now, no charges have been filed against Sheskey, as state officials continue to investigate.
As we previously reported, one of the attorneys representing Jacob Blake’s family, Benjamin Crump, explained his severe injuries to the media, saying “The medical diagnosis right now is that he is paralyzed and because those bullets severed his spinal cord and shattered some of his vertebrae… it is going to take a miracle for Jacob Blake Jr. to ever walk again. He is currently in surgery as we speak, still struggling to sustain his life and to hopefully become some resemblance of the man he once was.”
