As Megan Thee Stallion and Beyoncé’s collaboration for “Savage (Remix)” continues to climb the charts, Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Lawson took to social media to show off her dance moves to the hit record.
Tina posted a video of herself having a good time while dancing to the song and said, “Haaaa!!! Yeah, I know they didn’t get their dance moves from me!! They got em from their daddy! It’s okay I still like to dance!”
Earlier in the week, Tina congratulated Beyoncé for reaching a new milestone as “Savage Remix” made its way to the No. 2 spot on Billboard’s Hot 100. It was announced that Beyoncé has now charted at least one song on the Hot 100 in each of the past 24 years.
Tina said, “Congratulations Beyoncé you’ve been doing the damn thing since you were 16 years old. The Megan Thee Stallion remix ‘Savage’ makes the 2020 list! Congrats Megan!”
As we previously reported, Megan Thee Stallion and Beyoncé dropped the surprise remix last month after the song climbed the charts thanks to its success on the social networking platform Tik Tok.
While dropping the remix it was also announced that the proceeds from the song would go to Bread of Life’s Houston COVID-19 relief efforts. In response, the mayor of Houston announced that both artists would be honored with their own days to honor their efforts.
