#Roommates, just days after the No Kid Hungry Foundation declined his proposed $200,000 donation, it appears that another organization is proud to accept Tekashi 6ix9ine’s generosity. According to recent reports, Kooking 4 Kids is apparently welcoming the money—should 6ix9ine choose to give it to them.
As reported by @TMZ_TV, L.A. nonprofit organization Kooking 4 Kids got wind of Tekashi 6ix9ine’s donation being rejected and decided to utilize the old saying, “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.” Keith Johnson, the Executive Director of Kooking 4 Kids, reportedly stated that as long as Tekashi is trying to do a good deed by feeding hungry kids, it shouldn’t matter about his past.
Johnson continued, saying “If there is an individual that wants to help address hunger in Los Angeles, we welcome it. How that person wants to live their life is for them to decide.” However, he also acknowledges that while every organization has the right to determine who it will accept donations from—donations to his organization are vital for it to survive, so he’s not picky about the origins of funds.
Kooking 4 Kids travels to four different parts of L.A. every week, serving around 1,600-1,800 free meals to children and parents every day. Before the pandemic the organization was financially struggling due to L.A. County having the highest child hunger numbers and the limited amount of funds.
