A Georgia hospital celebrated the discharge of a 99-year-old woman just in time for her 100th birthday. Maude Burke is the oldest COVID-19 patient to be discharged from Phoebe Putney Health System in Albany, Georgia, according to WBTV.
Burke, who is coming up on her 100th year on this planet, received a special sendoff from the hospital’s nurses and staff. The warm moment was captured on camera, showing the medical team cheering as she was wheeled out of the hospital to finally go home.
The hospital posted on its Facebook page that “Her strength and determination are amazing, and we wish her well as she continues to recover.” We’re glad they shared this inspiring moment with the world!
